FRONTERA JAZZ QUARTET AT ****NE
Beginning July 2nd the Frontera Jazz Quartet is starting a Jazz &
Martinis Night on Wednesdays at ****ne in McAllen. Featuring
internationally renowned recording artist Clay Moore on guitar and the
Valley's own Joe Chapa on tenor sax, the Frontera Jazz Quartet (FJQ)
is the only group in the RGV playing the type of jazz you hear in the
major clubs in New York or Chicago. The FJQ performs original
compositions from Moore's three CDs and songs by jazz icons such as
Horace Silver, Wayne Shorter, and Chick Corea. Don't miss this debut!

JAZZ & MARTINIS AT TRE FRATELLI
The Frontera Jazz Quartet continues its Jazz & Martini Thursdays at
Tre Fratelli in Brownsville. This ongoing event is the place to be on
Thursdays, featuring half price martinis all night and the Valley's
only modern jazz group. In fact, it's become so popular that some
nights there isn't a seat left in the house. You may want to call in a
reservation!

FJQ PERFORMS IN MATAMOROS JULY 4TH
This July 4th the citizens of Matamoros, Mexico will be treated to
something quite unusual =96 the sounds of a modern jazz group performing
live from the Plaza Hidalgo in the old downtown. The concert,
featuring the Frontera Jazz Quartet, is a gift from the U.S. State
Department to the people of Mexico.
The FJQ has appeared at the 2007 Brownsville Latin Jazz Festival , the
2007 Texas Jazz Festival in Corpus Christi, and were selected as the
opening act at the first-ever South Padre Island International Music
Festival in 2007. Come join them for this historic show in Mexico.
