I just got done watching Walnut and i agree, the energy displayed thru
out and in taste/dwd->Mike's is really really really fun. The editing
is remarkable and almost overwhelming at times. This is a very nice
addition to what is available...but to compare dvds...there is a lack
of wide shots and when you do have a WS it's usually out of focus. I
gots to have me my CK5. IMO, IT isn't a complete performance but any
of IT on dvd is almost Cypress to me, so it wins big.
I saw Brooklyn in the theater and even tho it was the beginning of the
end (pt2) at the time, the emotions and energy were captured very well
thanks to crowd shots and wide shots. unlike Walnut, at Brooklyn we
get to see the rain thru crane shots and some very extreme wide
shots. As for Vegas, i watch it the least due to how tired they were
but it's the only Walfredo i get to see and the Emotional Rescue is
very entertaining. So now that i think about it, I agree w/Abe...all
of these dvd releases come in 1st place for some reason, i wouldn't
give any of them up.
