And one of my personal Top 100 records of all time, and now for one

you can listen to "The Treasure Of Your Love" by Eileen Rodgers, in
its entirety for the time being. She was either from Pittsburgh or
Chicago, but this was an area (Pennsylvania) where the record may have
had more impact than other places.
Well, maybe it's not the greatest shakes musically (but on the other
hand, not bad, the melody is pretty, the record is sung with
conviction, and the vocalist is up to task); but I'm allowed to name a
record here or there on lyrical merit, I say.
My other favorite records of the 50's? On many days (if not
most), they would probably include these:
Malaguena Salerosa (studio, 1959) - Bud & Travis
Satin Doll - Duke Ellington (1953)
Mack The Knife - Louis Armstrong
The Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gives To Me - Sidney Bechet (1951)
Unforgettable - Nat "King" Cole
Don't - Elvis
(as in: don't (or didn't) you like to slow dance to this one?)
Jambalaya - Hank Williams
Bring It On Home To Me - Sam Cooke
Unchained Melody - Roy Hamilton
Honorable Mention:
Since I Don't Have You - Skyliners
Don't You Just Know It? - Huey Smith & The Clowns
