A earlier, notable version of Stardust - Edythe Wright w/Tommy Dorsey

Boy, scratchy (but catchy), I had never heard this version of
Stardust, allegedly from 1936, at least 4 years before TD re-recorded
this with Frank Sinatra, who joined the band in 1940; but this is a
remarkable interpretation, and a major advance in developing the song,
which had been a hit about 5 years earlier for Louis Armstrong. In
fact, this is better than the Dorsey/Sinatra.

I hope there is a better, remastered version that exists or coming
along someday. This is wonderful. I would love to be driving the
rural, and picturesque roads of Eastern America on a warm, weekend
afternoon, and be able to listen to this.

Sound quibblers, just remember there are some of you who'll listen to
some rare doo-wop sides with this kind of sound quality, too, if you
loved that unre-issued record.
