This has been eating my heart out for some time. I recall hearing this
song several times in either the late 60's or the 70's. I heard the
tail end of it once more, several years ago, but again, no name was
given. It is a good paced instrumental, with some orchestration, but
electric guitar is prominent. It has a definite Native American flavor
to it, and no, it is not "Apache". It has several bars of your typical
"old western movie" music, you know, when suddenly, the Indians show
up.
The most obvious clue is the fact that the first few bars of the
William Tell Overture (Theme of the Lone Ranger) can be heard several
times throughout the song. It is perhaps the reason that I seem to
recall the name "Kemosabe". I tried every spelling of that name on
Google and found nothing.
I would appreciate any help with this. Thanks kindly.
