The use of modes in early church music

by LJS <ljschenck@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 8, 2008 at 09:03 AM

I am seeking information, links, or personal observations of early
church music that would include excerpts or melodies used in the
variou parts of the Mass and what modes that these compositions are
using. Information on other collections of early music would also be
helpful.

I no longer have access to several source books that I used many years
ago. At the moment, I have neither the resources or the time to try to
recreate my collections, but I can use the internet. I have searched
but can not seem to find the words to plug into the search engines to
give me the information that I am seeking.

Any help that you may have will be appreciated.

Thanks,
LJS
