Which is considered bad ettiquitte in newsgroups. They are not forums for 
selling one's wares (though obviously there's plenty of spam messages that

do attempt such).

Don't remember who it was, but, rightfully so.

Including a link to your website in your signature is reasonable.

But posts that say "-- buy my book because the answers are there." is 
generally considered to be in bad taste.

David Webber has notation software called Mozart, and Joey Goldstein has a

book. They will refer to them occasionally in conversation, and both
include 
a reasonable reference in their signatures to them, and when the 
conversation allows, they will direct posters to those things as
resources. 
But neither of them are "buy my stuff", or "I have this for sale". Your 
posts Neil, seem a little centered on mentioning that you have this book, 
and it's for sale.
