Hi, I answer as an amateur ; sometimes I feel on the theory guy side, too.
As such, we often think that once our brain knows something, it's done.
But it doesn't work like this, as you've noticed ; we have to practice,
practice, and practice. And you know, it may take weeks, months and
years - the good point being that you'll be proud and happy after each
achievement :-)
