does CPP stand for? I did a google search for acronyms and got
hundreds of posibilities including ChickenPot Pie.
Common Practice Period - including roughly the 17th, 18th and 19th
centuries. It also refers to the musical language (tonality) used by all
Western classical composers of the period. After about 1900, composers no
longer used the same musical language.
