That's correct, Tom. We're forced to spell the first two notes as Db
and Eb or we get into some really weird stuff. I write it as Ebaug7 --
it's an Eb7 with a raised 5th (just as you say) -- in my notation, aug
by itself means aug5 (raised 5th). I don't always write the /Db and
just accept I can see (and remember when performing from memory) it's
in the fourth position or third inversion. I try not to put too much
information in a chord symbol, or it's defeating its purpose as an
outline to the complete music. Usually I find composers use inversions
to create a bass line, so I take note of that, too -- for that reason,
I'd like to see what antalab has around this chord. I hope there will
be a link to a score or a Reply to author allowing us to respond and
get a pdf or mus file so we can play his composition -- how about it
antalab?

Neil, check out the rest of the thread.  In the OP's context, most of us 
have agreed that G+/Db is a better choice as it is simpler to read and
makes 
more sense as a dominant of C.
