Given that 7ths can be Major, Minor, Augmented or Diminished I tend to
use VII, 7, VII+ and d7 to indicate those intervals respectively. The
rest of the intervals in the chord can be indicated using standard
Roman Numeral notation.
Major chord with augmented 7th - CVII+
Major chord with major 7th - CVII
Major chord with minor 7th - C7
Major chord with diminished 7th - Cd7
and so on.
