Hi, the cirle of 5ths doesn=B4t have any purpose.

People have purposes by using facts of music systems.

Cycles in music are movements from one point thru different steps till
you reach the original point again. And so the term "cycle".

Most commonly cycles refer to "symmetric" movements (meaning by the
same interval)

Of these, there are some that give you all the 12 notes

b2 =3D 12 notes cycle
2 =3D 6 notes cycle
b3 =3D 4 notes cycle
3 =3D 3 notes cycle
4 =3D 12 notes cycle
#4 =3D 2 notes cycle
5 =3D 12 notes cycle
#5 =3D 3 notes cycle  (equal 3 when folded to close position)
6 =3D 4 notes cycle (equal b3 when folded to close position)
b7 =3D 6 note cycle (equal 2 when folded)
7 =3D 12 note cycle (equal b2 when folded)
