It certainly is a good way to learn to write music and has been in use
for many years. I don't agree with all of your cynicism though. Many
know the difference. Even in the city, with the noise and everything,
there are still many that do understand and appreciate the art of
music. We do however, live in a more technological world and this will
be an influence on our music. This is as it should be. Music should be
an expression of the people that write and listen to it and it does.
It is unfortunate that the world is in such a state, but such is life.
At least with music, we can see the state of the world and hopefully
this will enable us to have musical artists enter the various levels
of music that people are listening to and will help to show them a
path to a better way of thinking. This, too, is a factor and a
responsibility of music and musicians.
