Poor logic.

Suppose the notes are played on Flute? Not many overtones to work with.

Additionally, any sound with numerous overtones encounters a b7 pretty
early 
on - usually within the audible range. And yet, we don't feel that that 
note's "missing" from the scales we use. In fact, one of our main scales 
includes 2 notes not present in the overtones until quite late in the 
series. Come to think of it, a minor scale has even less agreement. Now
gee, 
how's that?

What's missing from a scale that's C-G. Well, D E G. But if that scale is 
Tone 1 - Tone 2 then nothing is missing. It's a two tone scale. So it 
depends on if you're comparing your scale to an existing set, or taking it

for what it is.
