Yes, a jump is, as I see it, different from a leap or a skip. You in
this case you can Jump to anyplace you want. But in musical terms,
jump is not really a term  (at least in the English translation) but
leap and skip are. And if you use a small number of notes in the
scale, then there is nothing to skip if there are no notes in between!
If you are using the Cmajor scale, then you are skipping something
when you go from the C to the G, but in the CGC scale, there is
nothing to skip. You may jump up a 5th to the G from the C, but this
is a JUMP of a specific interval that is the next note of the scale!
Nothing is skipped.
